Total Hardness High Range Colorimetric Reagents (100 tests) HI93735-02 are pre-measured reagents for the high-range colorimetric determination of total hardness (as CaCO3). The reagents produce a red-violet color change when reacted with calcium and magnesium following an adaptation of EPA recommended method 130.1; the color intensity is measured with a compatible Hanna portable photometer to provide results in mg/L (ppm) as CaCO3. The reagent set is intended for samples with an expected total hardness range of 400 to 750 mg/L (ppm) and is supplied in a kit sufficient for 100 tests.
