HI96776-01 Iron (II) Reagents (100 tests) are pre-measured replacement reagents for the colorimetric determination of iron to be used with Hanna benchtop photometers. The reagents follow the phenanthroline method for determination of iron, in which ferric (Fe3+) ions are reduced to ferrous (Fe2+) and the resulting ferrous–phenanthroline complex produces an orange color proportional to iron concentration. The product provides enough reagent packets for 100 tests and is intended for routine iron analysis with compatible Hanna photometers.
